In Washington, D.C., Howard University brings together generations of Bison whose influence reaches across politics, medicine, law, business, entertainment, journalism, technology, education, and the arts. Walking Howard's campus during Homecoming can feel like witnessing a living directory of Black achievement. In Baton Rouge, Southern University brings Louisiana culture and Jaguar pride together with the unmistakable sound of the Human Jukebox. In Huntsville, Alabama A&M University welcomes Bulldogs back to “The Hill,” while Jackson State University transforms Jackson into a celebration of Tiger Nation, with the Sonic Boom of the South providing the soundtrack. At Florida A&M University, orange and green take over Tallahassee as generations of Rattlers return to the Hill. The Marching 100, alumni gatherings, Greek life, fashion, food, football, and fellowship create an atmosphere that is unmistakably FAMU. At North Carolina A&T State University, it is not simply Homecoming. It is GHOE—the Greatest Homecoming on Earth. Greensboro becomes a sea of blue and gold as Aggies from across the nation return for one of the most recognizable celebrations in Black America. GHOE demonstrates what happens when institutional pride becomes cultural currency.
