DR. ROBLENA EMAGAHA WALKER

program experience research scientist at Western Governors University, where she leads initiatives that elevate the student learning experience and advance educational innovation. Trained as a research scientist and scientific instructional designer, she has also served with distinction at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and continues her national service as the consumer representative on the United States Food and Drug Administration Antimicrobial Drugs Advisory Committee. A woman of faith and service, Dr. Walker is a dedicated member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Metropolitan Atlanta Chapter. She also serves on multiple boards where she lends expertise in leadership, mentorship, and organizational development to support social change.

Dr. Walker made history as the first Black woman to create a nine piece clothing collection with New York and Company, a collaboration designed to inspire women of all backgrounds to embrace confidence and purpose through style. Deeply connected to the Bulldog tradition, Dr. Walker proudly honors her family’s distinguished South Carolina State University legacy, including her late mother Dr. Earlene Walker Kelly, her father Mr. Robert Walker, her sister Dr. Robbie L. Walker, and her uncle Dr. Andrew Hugine Jr., the ninth President of South Carolina State University. She continues to carry that legacy forward through her unwavering commitment to service, scholarship, leadership, and the advancement of others.
