SHANTAVIA EDMONDS- HART

During her reign, she championed her social impact initiative, Every Individual Gets Hope Through Organ Donation, raising awareness about the importance of organ donation and sparking lifesaving conversations throughout the community. She also launched the inaugural Little Miss Claflin University Pageant, which raised funds to support a South Carolina family awaiting an organ transplant. Professionally, Shantavia completed a global health mission trip to Ghana, served as president of the Student Society of Health-System Pharmacists, earned multiple scholarships, and completed a prestigious pharmacy internship at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

She is currently completing a community-based pharmacy residency in partnership with the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy and Harris Teeter Pharmacy, where she is gaining advanced training in patient-centered clinical service development and community-focused care. In July 2024, she married her Claflin University sweetheart, Jeff Hart, continuing a love story that began during her undergraduate years. Shantavia is deeply passionate about servant leadership, patient care, and community empowerment, and she is committed to making a meaningful impact through compassionate, accessible healthcare.

Shantavia Edmonds-Hart is a 28-year- old wife, mother, and registered pharmacist from Rowesville, South Carolina. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy and Master of Science in Public Health degrees from Campbell University. She graduated in May 2025. A proud alumna of Claflin University, Shantavia made history as Miss Claflin University and as the first representative from Claflin to be crowned Miss CIAA in 2019.
