The Center of Excellence for Educator Preparation and Innovation (EPI Center) is a comprehensive educator workforce solution. Established on the historic campus of Voorhees University in South Carolina and now a self-sustaining national 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we partner with districts and higher education institutions to transform how communities recruit, prepare, and retain exceptional educators. We are a true workforce solution because we provide a fully integrated support system: from helping paraprofessionals and community members transition into certified teaching roles, to coaching new educators, to developing veteran master teachers. The EPI Center walks alongside your district every step of the way to secure long-term retention and classroom excellence.

We have empowered over 40 educators to achieve National Board Certification and supported 109 in earning graduate degrees and made a significant impact on student literacy. Our core offerings include Customized Professional Learning, Personalized Certified Licensure Support, Instructional Coaching, and Competency-Based Learning. Currently, we serve educators across 25 South Carolina counties, seven U.S. states, and internationally in Ghana and Barbados.
