A utumn Simone Tisdale, born on June 30, 2003, in Atlanta, Georgia, is the daughter of Larry and Sharon Watkins and the sister of Marissa and Aniyah Tisdale. Raised in a family that taught her the value of compassion, community and faith, Tisdale has embraced her role as a servant leader, dedicating her life to uplifting others. Tisdale is a senior, social work major at Benedict College, where her involvement in campus life has been extensive and meaningful. She led the Benedict College Le’Diamond Poms Team and served as chaplain for Brothers and Sisters in Christ and the RAA Organization. She is a current member of the Social Work Club, Pre-Law Club, Collegiate 100, and Sister Act, and previously served as Miss Sophomore and Student Government Association (SGA) Corresponding Secretary. Now,

sophomore year, she has taken on several roles, including co-lead of the Praise Dance Ministry, and member of the Hospitality Team and the Connect Center. Recently, she answered a higher calling, stepping into preaching and ministry work. These roles have deepened her relationship with the Lord and continually strengthen her faith as she seeks to inspire others in their spiritual journey. Her service extends beyond the church, reaching into her broader community. She volunteers at Harvest Hope Food Bank, Rapid Housing Shelter, women’s shelters and Black Voters Matter. During her free time, Tisdale enjoys reading, writing, volunteering, shopping, going to church and dancing, finding joy in activities

After graduation, Tisdale plans to pursue a master’s in social work, focusing on becoming a child and family therapist. She is passionate about breaking mental barriers in children, helping them reach their full potential by providing the emotional support they need to thrive. Tisdale’s journey is grounded in faith, family and service. Guided by her favorite scripture, Isaiah 40:31, “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint,” she is committed to leading with resilience, grace and love as she inspires others to rise to their highest potential.

Academically, Tisdale is a Trustee Scholar, four-time Dean’s List honoree and a Presidential Scholar, maintaining a 3.9 GPA. Her academic excellence is matched by her passion for service on and off campus. Tisdale’s platform, “Autumn and the Tigers,” embodies the principles of Tenacity, Impact, Growth, Empowerment, Resilience and Success. She believes that leadership is not just about titles but about execution and impact. “A crown doesn’t leave impact, delivery and execution do,” she says, reflecting her commitment to serving her peers with purpose and action.
