TIA CRISS

Tia Criss was a distinguished Business Administration major at Cheyney University of Pennsylvania and a proud member of the university’s Keystone Honors Academy. As a Keystone Scholar, she earned a full tuition scholarship while maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA and consistent Dean’s List honors throughout her collegiate journey. Beyond the classroom, Tia demonstrated a strong commitment to leadership and service. She served on the Academic Literacy Committee for Business Education and Professional

Studies and was selected to participate in the Thurgood Marshall College Fund Leadership Institute. Her service initiatives included volunteering with Flixxaid to create digital content for nonprofit organizations, serving as a TED Talks translator to improve global accessibility, supporting community outreach efforts through Bombas, and participating as a panelist for a Northeast High School campus visit. Tia also completed a Summer 2025 accounting and finance internship with the Urban League of Greater Philadelphia, where she strengthened

her technical and professional skills while deepening her passion for service and community impact. Originally beginning her college career as an education major, Tia embraced personal growth and academic exploration by transitioning into business administration, a decision that further shaped her confidence, resilience, and sense of purpose. Tia will be pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree at West Chester University with career interests in health or life insurance underwriting.
